Perms for Medium Hair
Perm is short for permanent waves. It is s process whereby the hair is treated with chemical substances to break down the existing hair structure and create new ones so that curls are formed. Perming is opted for those who would like to get curls in their hair and also by those who would like to diffuse their natural curls and want to go in for straight hair. Though perming is a time consuming process, many women who would love to have curls or wavy hair, spend hours sitting patiently with rollers, perming solutions to get those curls in their hair all for the sake of a new hairstyle.
Perms for medium length hair can be of various types. The type of curls you want in your hair can be chosen from a wide variety of perms and be sure to tell your hair stylist what perm you want before you begin.
If you want short premed hair, the hair stylist will use short perm rods to give you tight curls which will sit on the crop mostly.
If you have want long to medium hair length, then you could go for long, loose curls as shown here. These can be achieved by larger perm rods which will curl up your hair strands vertically and allow them to cascade down to your shoulders once the perming process is finished.
You could also opt for perms at certain sections of your hair which is called spot perm. The spot perm is used at the ends of the hair or if you have a formal hair updo, the hair strands falling out of the updo can be curled up in ringlets and so forth.
Perm styles are numerous and the limit is only how you want to wear it in your hair. You could also opt for wavy hair in which case the hair will fall in gentle waves around your head and not exactly curl up.
