Medium Haircuts for 2011
Medium haircuts can be numerous and ever changing given the styles which are in fashion and the times. In 2011, we have been seeing some hairstyles on medium hair length which are variations of existing styles but which also portray the direction towards which the hairstyles are headed this year.
The trend is moving away from the straight, sleek look which was dominating the scene last several years; the choppy hairstyles still exist, but the popularity is going down. Perms are back in various kinds – stack perms, spot perms and so forth.
Take a look at some hairstyles which are being flaunted by celebrities this year:
One of the most talked about hair makeovers is Jennifer Aniston’s long bob styles. The bob hairstyle has always been around and people keep flaunting it in various ways. Here for instance, she has kept the hair long with a middle parting and no bangs on top. The hair is longer in front and tapered than at the back. The roots are given a darker highlight to bring out the light blonde hair colour more.
Another variation of the bob style is seen here. It is worn with fringe on top which reaches till the eyebrows. The hair is curled and tapered towards the front and worn beyond the chin level.
A perm look is seen here where the hair is wavy mostly and becomes long, loose curls on either sides of the face. The roots are amplified to add volume and the long curls hang loose around the ears.
A layered, wavy hairstyle is seen here. Contrasting sharp bangs on top, the rest of the hair is cut in layers around the face and the edges are flipped and flicked to create a wavy, layered effect.
Long layers in front and on the sides is flaunted in the hairstyle shown below. The messy look is created carefully and the ends of the hair are highlighted accordingly.
