Long Hairstyles with Bangs
If you have long hair, then you often wonder what types of hairstyles you could flaunt without compromising on the length of the hair.
In general, long hair can be flaunted in it’s natural style. If you have thick, lustrous hair, you could keep it open on special occasions; however, it is more practical to hold it back in the form of a ponytail or a tight bun during the busy days.
Long hair needs to be looked after. Whether you have normal, dry or oily hair, you need to shampoo and condition your hair accordingly so that the luster of the hair is not lost and it is protected from the harming effects of the sun, heat and dust.
One of the best ways of flaunting long hair is by bangs. You could have bangs cut across the forehead; it is available in various styles and you could choose the style according to the length of your hair and your face shape.
Blunt cut fringe – This is a fringe which works with all types of hair but it does not suit all face types. The hair falls straight and abrupt over the eyebrows and makes a definite statement. It goes well with straight long hair as well as long bob hairstyles.
Side swept bangs – While fringes are not for all face types, side swept bangs are more gradual and are more suitable for all face shapes. The hair is longer in front and curls sideways in a wave manner. Sometimes, the side swept bangs gradually increase in length and blend in with the layered cut of the long hair.
Step bangs – A more radical form of bangs, the bangs are cut in a definite step design across the forehead. This is a more radical style to flaunt and goes well with edgy, punk long hairstyles.
Asymmetric bangs – similar to the step bangs, the asymmetric bangs are cut diagonally across; it is characterised by uneven lengths and can be further accentuated by highlights on the sides of the bangs.
