Layered Haircuts for Long Hair
Layers make all the difference when it comes to styling long hair. In the absence of layers, long hair would have been dull and uninteresting as it was before layered haircuts were introduced. Layers, which is a versatile haircut for long, medium or short length hair, can make all the difference to your hair.
If you have long hair, then layered haircuts are numerous. Long hair can have long layers towards the ends; again, the layers can be from chin length onwards, framing the face. The layers can be curled towards the face or away from it; as seen here, the hair is curled slightly or flicked outwards; the hair on the top is cut into side swept bangs.
Another layered haircut is as shown below. The hair is recklessly parted in the middle and the hair is cut into long layers; the strands may be highlighted to add a touch of glamour to the haircut. Layered haircut for long hair can be styled in various ways. It does not always have to be straight and sleek. Layered hair with straight, sleek tresses is very popular, especially with highlights.
An extreme example of layered haircut is the emo long haircut. The emo haircut, as popularized by the punk fashion trend, is a shaggy, uneven, unkempt layered haircut which is very popular amongst young women, especially teenagers.
Layered long hair can be curled as well. Long layers can be curled with curling iron into hairstyles such as the one shown here. The wavy, long layers will be accentuated by bangs on top. The bangs on top can be side swept which adds to the look.
Layered long hair which cascades down in curls will add volume to thin, fine hair. That is a great way to add body to the hair.
